What type of wax do you use?
We use a hard strip-less wax for both facial and body waxing. Hard wax provides quick, efficient results and a less painful waxing experience. Heated at low temperatures to minimize irritation, this wax adheres only to the hair and not the skin. Safely removing both fine and coarse hair, it creates a smooth finish with minimum skin reactions.
We use Starpil Pink Hard Wax and Berodin Blue Hard wax
How long should my hair be?
Hair should be a ¼ in length so the wax is able to grab onto the hair. If you have been shaving the area please allow 4 weeks for hair to have the apportiate length to wax.
How should I prepare for my wax?
No prepeartion needed, our staff will take care of everthying and guide you step by step when you arrive for your appoitntment.
Can I wax during my periond?
Yes, you can wax if its that time of the month, however we do require you to have a tampon in place at the time of your service. Also be aware that you might feel more discomfort than usual.
I’m pregnant, can I still wax?
Of course! Waxing is a great option during pregnancy especially as that belly grows and certain areas might be harder to reach and see. Just be aware you may feel more senstive due to hormonal changers in your body.
Can I wax after a facial?
You can wax as long as you did not receive any deeper forms of exfoliation such as…
- AHA, BHA
You would then need to wait at least 7 days to receive a wax service.
How often should I wax?
We recommend coming for body waxing every 4 weeks. Facial waxing can be done every 2-4 weeks.
Is it true if i wax my hair will grow back thicker?
Absolutely not! Your hair follicles become weaker and thinner with every wax.
Im taking medication that was prescibed by my Doctor, is it safe for me to wax?
You should always contact your doctor first when it comes to any prescriptions do’s and dont’s. We advise you to be off any topical creams such as Retin A and Differin gel 7 days prior to your wax and for 7 days after wax. If you are on stronger, oral medications such as Accutane we will not be able to wax you.
Help! How can I get rid of these ingrowns hairs?
In grown hairs are very common. These harmless, but unsightly bumps can be caused by many things including…
- Broken hairs caused by a previous wax
- Lack of exfoliation
- Tight clothing and underwear
- Bacteria build up on top of the skin
Not to worry, Flawless has you covered! We offer a variety of services and products to help restore your skin, including our signature “vajacial” (basically a facial for your vagina). I know, it sounds wild but trust us it works!
How will my skin look and feel after waxing?
Everyone’s skin is different. You can expect some mild redness and soreness in the area which should subside in 24-48 hrs. Your pores remain open for the next 24-48 hrs so you should refrain from any activities that would cause excessive sweating or friction. You can shower the same day, just not too hot. Make sure to follow post care instructions that your esthetician recommends.
Enjoy being hair free and smooth for the next 3-4 weeks!
