What is a chemical peel?

Peels are advanced forms of exfoliation that help shed dead skin cells and encourage the production of new ones. The active ingredients in a peel are designed to penetrate deeper into the skin prompting cellular turnover, improved pigmentation…allowing better absorption of products. There are a variety of peels that include acids, enzymes and vitamins.

How do I know which facial is right for me?

We recommend scheduling an appointment with one of our licensed estheticians. These skincare professionals will consult with you first on what your skincare needs and goals are and then perform a proper skin analysis and determine an appropriate treatment for you.

Do men need facials?

YES! Men need to take good care of their skin too! Teen boys going through puberty and experiencing acne (we offer “Bacne Facials” as well) as well as men of all ages experiencing dull lack luster skin, clogged pores or signs of aging.

Can I get a facial or peel while pregnant?

You can absolutely have a facial while pregnant! We will select the appropriate pregnancy safe products for all of our expecting and/or nursing mothers.

Chemical peels are not safe during pregnancy or while you are nursing. The chemicals used in the process have not been proven safe for baby.

When should I not have chemical peel?

You should not have a chemical peel if…

  • Currently using topicals presicbed by a doctor
  • Accuatne
  • Over exfoliated skin
  • Broken skin
  • Pregnancy
  • Rosacea flare up
  • Sunburn
  • Open/ active cold sores

How often should I get a chemcial peel or facial?

Here at flawless, we recommed coming for monthly treatments for best results.

How should I prepare for my treatment ?

Please be ready to share any current information and history regarding your skin and skincare routine. If possible come in with your makeup already removed, if not no worries we will remove it for you.

What will my skin look and feel like after my treatment?

Expect skin to look slightly rosy due to your skin being stimulated, this should calm down by the following day. If your esthetician preformed extractions you might have a few minor breakouts due to your skin purging itself. Having a peel may make your skin feel slightly dry, you should use a heavier moisturizer for the few days after your treatment. We will provide you with proper post care instructions for all treatments you receive.
